Jonathan
Batzdorff, CPO, founder of Prosthetika, brings thirty years of prosthetic
and orthotic experience to this non-profit organization. He began his career
as a staff prosthetist at UCLA Hospital. He then accepted a position
teaching prosthetics and orthotics at UCLA. Batzdorff left UCLA to open a
private practice in Santa Rosa, California in 1979 where he continues to
serve as lead prosthetist and clinical manager.
Mr. Batzdorff has taught his techniques to prosthetists, physical therapists and doctors throughout the world. He currently serves as an examiner for the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Mr. Batzdorff has volunteered internationally throughout his career. These activities include helping to design and build prosthetic facilities, teaching workshops, fabricating prostheses, and donating materials and supplies. His volunteer work has taken him to Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America as well as within the United States.
