PROSTHETIKA is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Our mission is to help
improve the lives of physically disabled people who require artificial limbs
and orthopedic braces.
The
activities of PROSTHETIKA include:
- Fitting amputees in underdeveloped regions who have no other options.
- Setting up on-site training sessions for prosthetists in underdeveloped regions.
- Providing free on-line technical training videos for amputees, prosthetists, therapists throughout the world.
- Respond to natural disasters which result in amputations and physical disabilities to provide appropriate assistance.
- Giving online technical consultation to amputees and caregivers.
Sustainability
PROSTHETIKA makes a special point of maximizing sustainability. This means assuring
that there are continued benefits derived from the project long after PROSTHETIKA’s
involvement is completed.
Appropriate Technology
PROSTHETIKA recognizes that to assure sustainability, training should utilize
materials which are accessible and affordable to the local population.
Tax Deductible Donations
PROSTHETIKA is funded solely through your tax-deductible donations. Please let
us include your name on our list of sponsors. Donations may be made either to
support a current project or to give general support to PROSTHETIKA.
